With few days to Christmas, some parts of Anambra State are already heralding the festivity with parties and fun fare for children and youths.

 

One of such parties was organized by Regina Hope for All Foundation Obosi, which decided to put smile on the faces of over two thousand children within and outside Obosi Community.

The event, held at Ogbueshi Obodoefuna’s residence, Chudi Ibeano Crescent, Little Wood Estate Obosi, Idemili North Council Area, was organized by the founder of the foundation, Ezinne Ngozi Obodoefuna.

 

Correspondent Emengini Osadebe reports that it was fun all the way for children as they were given the opportunity to showcase their talents through games, dance steps and shows, while their host thrilled them with lots of gifts.

Speaking to the ABS, the host, Ezinne Obodoefuna, said the Christmas party, which has become an annual event, was aimed at giving the children a sense of belonging.

 

Ezinne Obodoefuna, who announced that it is the sixth edition of the Christmas party, stated that the event has been getting better and bigger every year and called on the children to be obedient, kind and supportive to their parents as well as study hard to excel in life.

On her part, one of the key organizers of the Christmas party, Mrs. Uche Nwakobi, noted that since inception of Regina Hope for All Foundation seven years ago, the foundation has been reaching out to children in so many ways including lending them books through their Mobile Library and paying school fees for some indigent and intelligent Children in the community.

 

Mrs. Nwakobi expressed gratitude to God for leading the foundation this far urging the children to take their studies seriously.

Some of the children including Miss Chisom Nnaneme and Miss Jacinta Sunday, appreciated Ezinne Obodoefuna for her kind gesture and prayed God to bless and replenish her.

 

Highpoints of the party included beauty pageant, drama, puppet show, question and answer session, dance by different groups while presentation of carol song by the Obodoefunas and visit to Santa Claus added colour to the event.
