A Chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu has advised Ndi Anambra to respect law and order especially on the highways during and after the Yuletide to reduce road crashes and encourage free vehicular movement.

 

Chief Iyiegbu who addressed the media shortly after the 2022 Anambra Christmas Carol and Awesome Praise in Awka said that the effect of the Christmas is already being felt as the roads are getting busier by the day.

 

He emphasized that being law abiding will help the society become more peaceful and progressive.

Similarly, the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area Mrs Amaka Obi who said that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has made the Anambra State environment more conducive for the celebration by making most of the roads motorable enjoined Ndi Anambra to use this period to collect their permanent voter card ahead of the election.

 

She noted that part of the ways Ndi Anambra can encourage Governor Soludo is by electing progressive leaders that will support him under the All Progressives Grand Alliance.

On their parts, the Anambra State President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emeka Udodeme and the National President of Anambra State association of Town Unions ASATU, Barrister Titus Akpudo advised Ndi Anambra to avoid any act capable of destroying the society.

 

While wishing Ndi Anambra a merry Christmas and prosperous new year, they thanked the state government for providing such a soul lifting opportunity adding that Anambra State is blessed to have a courageous leader like Governor Soludo.

The 2022 Anambra State Carol and Awesome Praise was well attended by critical stakeholders including, the Chairman, Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council and traditional ruler of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, the clergy from all Christian denominations, government functionaries among others.
