Beginning the year with a smile could be a sign for better days to come.

This was the atmosphere at Agbani village Umuawulu, Awka South council area where over two thousand people benefitted from Ide Global Foundation New year gifts.

Food items distributed to the people of Umuawulu by the founder Ide Global foundation, Chief Azubuike Ekweozor were live cow which they killed and shared among the kindred, fifty kilograms bags of rice, twenty-five kilograms bags of rice, ten kilograms bags of rice, cartoons of noodles, tubers of yam, plastic chairs and wrappers among others.

 

Addressing the people who are mostly women, Chief Ekweozor urged them to always be positive no matter the situation and channel their problems to God.

Chief Ekweozor expressed the hoped that this new year will have better prospects for the people and prayed God to bless at least one person from every family, advising them to be patient with God.

 

Some of the beneficiaries who benefited at the kindred level Mr. Ikechukwu Ekweozor and Barrister Chris Ekweozor said that Chief Ekweozor has been of immensely help to their community both in providing food, funds to startup businesses, vehicles for transportation, scholarships and more, noting that the new year gift has been consistent for years now.

The woman leader of the community, Mrs. Dorathy Eziofor appreciated God for the kind of heart he gave their benefactor, as according to her, over fifty women he empowered with seed money last year are doing well in their various businesses.

While praying for greater blessings upon him, Mrs. Eziofor urged other affluent members of the community to emulate him, in order to nip poverty in the bud.
