The Archbishop of the Niger Province, Most Reverend Dr Alexander Ibezim, has dedicated an ultra-modern Saint Michael and All Angels Anglican Church Mbaukwu, Awka South Local Government Area, financed by an Anglican Priest, who preferred to remain anonymous.

 

In a sermon to mark the occasion, Archbishop Ibezim, who drew his sermon from the book of Matthew, charged Christians to emulate the biblical Canaanite woman this 2023.

 

He made it clear that prayers without faith are ineffective, pointing out that sowing seed with faith had continued to take him to higher heights.

 

He announced that new Saint Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, brought to six, the number of Anglican Churches in Mbaukwu Community and paid glowing tribute to Igwe Peter Anugwu, of Mbaukwu, for encouraging all church denominations to grow with love in Mbaukwu.

 

The deed of the new church dedication was presented by the diocesan Legal Secretary, Dr Felix Uzor, on behalf of the chancellor, Honourable Justice Okeke retired.

 

The service attracted over ten clergymen including the administrative assistant to the Archbishop, Venerable Dr Rex Kanu, the outgoing Archdeacon of Mbaukwu Venerable David Ezeobi, the vicar, Saint John Mbaukwu, Venerable Chuma Oranye and the resident priest of the new Church, Reverend Emma Ezeanyika.
