Saint Charles Special Science School old Boys Association Worldwide has elected new executive to pilot the Affairs of the union for three years.

 

The association elected Mr. Uzochukwu Ochokwu as its president general along other executive members during its 2023 General Convention in Awka, Anambra State Capital.

The group elected Mr. John Egbunike as the Vice President One, Arinze Izuegbunem, Vice President Two, Chukwudi Njerita, Secretary General, Augustine Dike, Assistant Secretary General, Chinedu Osita, Financial Secretary, and Ifeanyi Nwakonobi, Treasurer.

 

Others are Mr. Anthony Emele, Public Relationship Officer, John Ike, Welfare Officer, Chiagozie Okonkwo, Director of Social, Goodnews Ogbonna, Provost, and Desmond Nwangu, Internal Auditor.

Administering oath of office on the new executive, the chairman of the association’s 2023 election committee, Professor Cyril Dim, charged them to always prioritize the collective interests of the group over personal interests, and to be focused to deliver on their mandate.

 

Speaking on behalf of his executive, Mr. Ochokwu, thanked members of the association for trusting them with the leadership task and promised to surpass their expectations.

The immediate past President General of the association, Dr Emeka Ezenekwe, appreciated members of the union for supporting him throughout his tenure, encouraging the new executive to be focused and ignore distractions in order to be successful.

 

Awardees during the event including a one-time teacher and principal of the school, Sir Emmanuel Ezenduka, who was honoured with an award of “Best Mentor” of the year by the old boys, Professor Cyril Dim, and Dr Emeka Akor, who were respectively honoured with great achievers’ award, thanked members of the association for recognizing them, and promised to keep supporting them.

The event which attracted members of the association from across Nigeria and beyond, featured oath taking by the new executive, and award presentation.
