Schools in Anambra State have resumed for the second term of 2022/2023 academic session.
Staff reporter, Emengini Osadebe, who led ABS roving crew reports that there was an impressive turn out of teachers, pupils and students at various schools visited.
On arrival at Ado Girls Secondary School Onitsha, students were seen seated and taking their resumption tests, while some teachers were in staff room preparing notes for the new term.
Speaking to the ABS, the Principal of the school, Lady Tessy Oboli, commended the impressive turn out of both teachers and students, saying that they are ready for the new term.
She called on teachers to remain committed to their duties; in order to complement the state government’s effort at ensuring optimal development of the education sector.
At All Saints Primary School Onitsha, the story was the same; as pupils were seen seated and receiving lessons from their teachers.
The Headmistress of the school, Mrs Helen Nwene, disclosed that the newly recruited teachers in the state would be posted to their new classes after resumption tests; which she said is part of the examination.
She called on the parents to ensure that their children’s needs are taken care of, while calling on teachers, especially the new recruits, to live above board.
