The member representing Anambra West Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Honourable Patrick Obalum-Udoba, has called on his constituents to ensure that they get their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, to be eligible to vote in the forthcoming general elections.
He made the call while speaking to newsmen in his Umueze Anam country home, adding that the PVCs are the only instrument that would ensure that all eligible voters vote in the upcoming elections.
The Lawmaker appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to do everything humanly possible to ensure that no Nigerian who is eligible to vote is disenfranchised during the exercise.
Honourable Obalum-Udoba, who is the Chairman, Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Transport, also advised INEC to deploy more material, human resources and money to hard-to-reach local government areas like Anambra West to ameliorate the sufferings of his people in trying to get their permanent voter cards.
He commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his giant strides in less than one year in office, especially in the areas of road construction, employment of teachers and health personnel, among others, and urged the Governor not to relent in his good works.
The Anambra Lawmaker, who expressed satisfaction with the level work on-going at the Mmiata Anam – Nzam road embarked upon by the Soludo administration, urged Ndi Anambra to vote for APGA in the forthcoming general elections for sustained development of Anambra state.
