The mammoth crowd that graced the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA National Campaign inauguration over the weekend at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka has been described as very impressive.
The Anambra State Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Barrister Anthony Ifeanya, who stated this maintained that the party is committed to winning all the positions in Anambra State during the general elections.
He emphasized that the people that attended the event were drawn from three hundred and twenty-six wards in Anambra State, fifty persons from each electoral ward while the Candidates came with one hundred persons as well, pointing out that the people that attended the event were card carrying members of the party.
He advised the APGA supporters who have not collected their permanent voter cards to take advantage of the extension by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to go and collect their Permanent voter cards, describing it as their only right to vote and make the change they desire in Anambra State and Nigeria at large.The All Progressives Grand Alliance Governorship Candidate in Delta State for the general elections, Chief Great Ogboru noted that it is the people that determine who wins the election and not the party, stressing that with All Progressives Grand Alliance working with the people of Delta State that his victory has been completed.
In their separate speeches, the member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Chief Chinedu Obidigwe ,who is seeking re-election and his counterpart in Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia Federal Constituency ,Chief Ferdinand Dozie Nwakwo who is contesting for Senate in the Anambra Central Senatorial District, described the unprecedented crowd that heralded the occasion as a clear indication that APGA has come to not only capture Anambra State ,but the entire States in the South-East and other States in the Country.
The Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo, APGA Chairman in Lagos State, Mr ThankGod Ezebunafo, the President-General, Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association, Mr. Humphry Nwabkwo, described APGA as the third largest political party in the Country that has continued to remain the pace setter in the political landscape of Nigeria.
