The people of Ifite-Awka in Awka South Local Government Area have expressed satisfaction with the government of Professor Chukwuma Soludo in its efforts aimed at restoring people’s confidence in governance.

 

Ifite-Awka people rising from their meeting which was attended by critical stakeholders in the area, said that the efforts of the Soludo administration towards restoring lasting peace in Awka traditional intuition is a clear indication that the Governor means well for Awka the capital of Anambra State.

 

Major stakeholders in the area who spoke during the meeting including Chief Chukwudi Muodozie, who is representing the village in Obi Gibson Nwosu’s cabinet Chief Christian Nwanya, Benjamin Ndumanya and Vincent Nwafor commended Governor Soludo for awarding contract for the rehabilitation of many roads in the State capital and the palliative work on the Ifite-UNIZIK gate axis, which they noted will go a long way in boosting businesses in addition to enhancing both human and vehicular movements.

 

Ifite-Awka village while pleading their unalloyed support to the Soludo led administration, charged youths of Ifite-Awka extraction to jettison acts capable of bringing Ifite-Awka to disrepute.

 

They said that Ifite-Awka where majority of government projects are domiciled will continue to protect government facilities in the area.

 

Ifite-Awka village warned that any individual or group that engages in preventing investors from development in addition to destroying public property will be made to face the full weight of the law adding that Ifite-village has never authorized anybody to collect development levy on his behalf

 

While calling on the government to remember the people of Ifite-Awka in key appointments they called on the people to continue with their support and prayers to the Soludo administration to enable it deliver on its mandate.
