The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, the Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor has appeal to Nigerians to avoid being influenced by money during next month’s general elections.
The Most Reverend Ezeokafor, who made the appeal in Awka, said it is time for the electorate to declare their stand on how to better the country.
He decried the poor governance in the country which has led to untold economic hardship, insecurity, unemployment and added that there is need to liberate the masses from bondage.
The Most Reverend Ezeokafor asked those, who are yet to collect their permanent voter’s cards to go and collect it as it is the only instrument to use to better the country.
The prelate expressed the hope that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, will provide a level playing ground for all political parties and called on the people to vote their conscience and for candidates they know that will address the situation of the country.
