As the 2023 general elections draw closer, the Anambra State APGA Deputy Chairman, Chief Tony Omeligwe Elee has advised Ndi Anambra to shun monetary inducement during the exercise.
Chief Elee, who gave the advice in an interview with journalists in Awka, condemned in its entirety monetary inducement during elections, saying that a situation where eligible voter sells his or her vote to the highest bidder leaves much to be desired.
He cautioned political parties and individuals that engage in vote buying and other inducements to retrace their steps to enable the electorate elect people with the interest of the masses at heart.
Chief Elee also appealed to eligible Ndi Anambra to collect their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, to enable them exercise their franchise in the forthcoming elections.
He applauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo for championing the cause of APGA as a political party in the state, describing him as a visionary leader; who has impacted positively in areas of road construction and reconstruction, healthcare service delivery and other infrastructural strides in the state.
The party Chieftain urged Ndi Anambra to continue to support APGA, describing it as a political party that is known for prompt payment of workers’ salaries, and has the interest of people at heart.
