The traditional Ruler of Awka community Obi Gibson Nwosu has charged Nigerians to take full ownership of the Nation’s Electoral process in order to sanitize the system.
Speaking on the need for the people to come out en-masse and take active part in next Month’s general election, Obi Nwosu charged the electorate to go to the Independent National Electoral commission INEC offices in both their Local government and electoral wards to collect their permanent voter cards to enable them exercise their franchise during elections.
The traditional ruler of Awka community who described apathy during elections as the height of civic negligence, charged eligible voters to use their voter card in changing the political landscape of the Nigerian Nation positively.
Obi Nwosu who is a one-time Deputy Chairman of Anambra State council of Traditional rulers used the opportunity to call on the Independent National Electoral commission INEC to create More polling booths in voting centres across the country to maintain secrecy during the forthcoming general elections in the country in addition to guaranteeing the security of voters.
Obi Nwosu urged political gladiators to stop using the youths as Cannon fodder during and after elections charging them to always engage the youths positively as future leaders.
Contributing the traditional ruler of Nise Community in Awka South local government Area Igwe Romanus Iloh who charged eligible voters of Nise extraction to ensure that they participate in the forthcoming elections urged them to always respect the constituted authorities.
Igwe Iloh while commending Governor Chukwuma Soludo for all his giant strides in Anambra State especially in the area of Road construction and reconstruction called for the inclusion of Ngene-Awka-Nise-Nibo-Nkwelle Road in the next phase of the state government’s road rehabilitation programme.
Igwe Iloh called on the people to continue with their prayers for the Soludo led administration to enable it deliver on its mandate.
He cautioned politicians against campaign of calumny, name calling and hate.
