A two-week capacity building training organised for workers in Anambra State Government employ has ended in Awka.

 

The training, which began on twenty-fourth January at the Staff Development Centre, office of the state Head of Service, was designed to make the workers understand modern technological system in performing official duties effectively and efficiently.

 

In her remark at the event, the state Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe, who listed benefits of the training for workers, encouraged them to ensure that whatever they learnt is put into practice for increased productivity.

 

She noted that with all the plans the administration has, including the ICT training, the era of manual and analog services is over.

 

Barrister Igwegbe, who commended the Governor Soludo-led administration for being innovative and tactical in addressing issues that hamper development of civil service in the state, and the state at large, said the training heralded the Soludo administration’s focus on bringing about “everything technology and technology everywhere”

 

Some participants at the training acknowledged that the digital transformation will ensure speed and efficiency in service delivery.
