A Catholic Priest, Reverend Father Jude Nwokolo, has re-echoed a call for Christians to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through words and actions.
In his sermon at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church, Ifite-Awka, Reverend Father Nwokolo, who is the Vicar of the Church, reminded Christians that one’s Christian identity is very important in their daily lives and places of work.
He regretted that most Christians have lost their identity as light of the world and salt of the earth; evidenced in mistrust and fear among Christians, even inside the church.
Reverend Father Nwokolo, who said that what will count on the last day is how one did the will of God, encouraged Christians to remain the salt and light of the world in their daily lives and places of work, insisting that if one can’t live out attributes of Christ, his or her Christian faith is of no use.
The Eucharistic celebration, a prayer was offered for the success of this month’s general elections as well as subsequent ones.
