The member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe has bought petrol for over one thousand commercial motorcyclists in Anambra East and West as a way to support their means of livelihood.
Hon. Obidigwe while speaking to newsmen in Otuocha, the headquarters of Anambra East Local Government Area, said that what he has done was to complement the efforts of his constituents.
The Lawmaker maintained that he was moved by the fact that the pump price of the premium motor spirit, otherwise known as petrol, has skyrocketed, hence his reason to pay for their bills.
According to Hon. Obidigwe, what he has done is also in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s agenda of impacting positively on the lives of Ndi Anambra and other residents of the state.
The Lawmaker, who expressed delight with the quality of roads being built across the state by the Soludo administration, urged Ndi Anambra to keep supporting the APGA led government.
He advised youths to use the forthcoming general elections to elect competent leaders that would factor in their interests in their developmental agenda, rather than those who will oppress them.
Hon. Obidigwe urged the federal government to end the current insecurity ravaging the country and ensure that the 2023 poll is peaceful, credible and reliable.
