Governor Soludo has inspected the level of work at the ongoing Ukpor-Umunoko-Nza-Ozubulu Road in Nnewi South local government area.

 

The road which is 16 Kilometers in length connects Ozubulu and Ukpor passing through Late Chief Mbazuluike Amaechi’s residence

Governor Soludo during the inspection interacted with the people of Nnewi South who trooped out in their numbers to welcome and appreciate him for the infrastructural development in the area.

 

He commended the efforts of Late Mbazuluike Amaechi in nation building urging the people to emulate his patriotic spirit and promised more interventions to accelerate the development of Nnewi South.

Governor Soludo Restates his resolve to tackle insecurity in Nnewi South and Anambra at large and tasked the youths and other stakeholders to partner the government for effective service delivery.

 

The Commissioner for works who said that the road has reached 95 percent completion, assured that the road will be delivered according to specifications in few days.

 

In their separate remarks, the Commissioner for Environment, Mr Felix Odumegwu and the Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi South local government area, Mr Ikenna Aniagbaoso thanked the Governor for the road project and assured him of the support of their people especially in delivering all APGA Candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

The event was attended by stakeholders in the local government and other top government functionaries including the Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Protocol to the Governor, Chief Chinedu Nwoye.
