Catholic Pontiff has approved the established of a new Catholic Diocese in Nigeria.
It is the Diocese of Aguleri in Anambra State.
The new diocese will be headed by the present Auxiliary Bishop of Onitsha Archdiocese, Most Reverend Dennis Isizo.
Ekwi Ajide reports that the papal nuncio to Nigeria, Antonio Filipazzi, who made the announcement at the ongoing first plenary of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria in Abuja, said the new diocese will be consecrated on seventeenth March, 2023.
