Governor Chukwuma Soludo has flagged off the construction of a community road at Mbaukwu, Awka South Local Government Area.

 

The road, beginning from Saint Lawrence Anglican Church to Ngene Mmiri Shrine, to Iyi-Utuka Stream, to Ogada Village square, down to Igwe Mbaukwu road, will be completed within one month.

Speaking at Mbaukwu during the flag off ceremony, Governor Soludo promised prudence, transparency and accountability in managing the recourses of Anambra State.

 

He promised to transform Awka into a befitting state capital, and asked the people of Awka South Local Government Area for continue partnership.

The Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, who was on ground to receive Governor Soludo, described him as a man of vision and courage.

 

He assured that the people of Mbaukwu and Awka South Local Government Area in general will not relent in making positive contributions towards the success of his administration.

On his part, the traditional ruler of Mbaukwu, Igwe Peter Anugwu, commended Governor Soludo’s progress within ten months in office, and asked him to sustain the tempo as according to him, Anambra needs more of such milestones.

Tthe Commissioner for works, Engineer Ifeanyi Okoma, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, among others, were present during the flag off ceremony.
