Governor Chukwuma Soludo has called on Ndi Anambra to see tax payment as a civic responsibility.
Speaking on ABS Radio and Television live interactive programme “chat with Mr Governor”, Governor Soludo who assured prudence and transparency in managing the State resources promised to give Ndi Anambra quality and people-oriented leadership.
Governor Soludo disclosed that he will open up all the hinterlands across the State through quality and durable roads, urged Ndi Anambra to take full ownership of government projects especially the ongoing road projects, assuring that he will continue to monitor such projects to ensure that it conforms to standards.
Governor Soludo who described health as wealth said that his government will continue to place high premium on healthcare delivery by ensuring that it becomes a major player in the health sector adding that with the partnership of various communities his administration is committed to upgrading various health facilities for effective and efficient service delivery.
He said that his government will give Ndi Anambra affordable, accessible and quality healthcare delivery with best medical facilities.
The Governor charged Ndi Anambra to always be environment friendly to reduce the high rate of communicable diseases reminding them of the need to always clear their drainages.
Governor Soludo maintained that his commitment to making Anambra a livable and prosperous home land is non-negotiable adding that basic hygiene will be introduced in schools and colleges to ensure that pupils and students begin early to have best hygiene practices.
He described human capital as the greatest asset of Anambra State adding that his main focus is to ensure that Anambra Students are being taught by quality teachers which prompted him to employ five thousand teachers for both primary and secondary schools across the State.
Governor Soludo who reassured regular payment of workers salary and pension to retirees called on Ndi Anambra to continue with their support to his administration.
