Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, has asked school heads in the state to combine effort with the present administration of Professor Chukwuma Soludo for the actualization of the proposed international standards in the education sector.
The he Deputy Governor gave the instruction during a meeting with authorities of the Chukwuemaka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, at the Igbariam campus of the institution.
Dr Ibezim, who reminded the university authority that Professor Soludo is committed to repositioning schools in the state to be of international standards, emphasized the need for the school heads to join efforts with the government to make the vision a reality.
The Deputy Governor commended the present administration of the state university, assuring them that the state government will continue to assist them.
Speaking earlier, the Vice Chancellor of the Chukwuemaka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Professor Greg Nwakoby, extolled Governor Soludo for showing interest in the education sector of the state, and observed that the Governor’s interest is already yielding positive results.
He promised that the present administration of the university under his watch, will do its best to make sure that the institution is taken to a greater height.
