Chief Peter Anekwe of the Labour Party has been declared the winner of Anambra East and West Federal Constituency.
Chief Anekwe pulled fourteen thousand, eight hundred and forty-seven votes to defeat his closest rival, Honourable Chinedu Obidigwe of the All-Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, who scored thirteen thousand, seven hundred and twenty-two votes.
Describing his winning as a victory for democracy, Chief Anekwe thanked his constituents for their love and support even as he promised quality representation.
He also called on those who contested with him to join hands with him to move Anambra East and West Federal Constituency forward, as he is ready to work with everyone who has the interest of the people at heart.
