The Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Frank Collins-Okafor has adjudged the March eighteen State House of Assembly election in Anambra State as a true reflection of the choice of the people.

The Political Scientist made the assessment in Awka while commenting on the election.

Professor Okafor who said that he voted at Afor-Mkpukpa in Umudioka ward three explained that the House of Assembly election went on peacefully as eligible voters voted freely without molestation or intimidation.

He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for commencing accreditation and voting in the area on time and for coming prepared.

The Political Scientist who said he went round to monitor the election, observed that some INEC adhoc staff at certain polling units did not know how to use the BIVAS, which he said delayed smooth conduct of the exercise in those areas.

He therefore, called for adequate training of INEC staff on the use of BIVAS machines to guarantee efficient service delivery.

He urged the Federal Government to always put in place logistics for the conduct of elections to enable INEC perform optimally during elections.
