The president National Council of Women Societies in Anambra State Lady Theresa Nnalue has described Women as the back bone of their various families and larger society.

 

Speaking on this year’s Mothers Sunday being observed by members of the Catholic Women’s organization, Worldwide and the annunciation of the blessed Virgin Mary by women of both Anglican and Catholic extraction, Lady Theresa Nnalue charged Women to be alive in their responsibilities especially in bringing up God fearing children.

 

She regretted the high rate of immorality among the girls, and charged the Mothers to always monitor the kind of company their children Keep in order not to bring shame to their various families.

 

Lady Theresa Nnalue cautioned parents against making uncomplimentary remarks before their children reminding mothers of the need to always maintain their pride as the mirror of the family.

 

She called on Mothers to use this period of Mothering Sunday and the annunciation of the blessed Virgin Mary in charting a new cause that will reposition the women folk to be at the forefront in changing the moral tone of the society.
