The District Governor elect of Rotary International district 9142 comprising all the States in the South East as well as Cross River and Akwaibom States Dr Akan Emah has charged Rotary leaders to always be at the forefront of changing the moral tone of the society in addition to touching lives.

 

Addressing incoming Assistant Governors and Club Presidents for the 2023/2024 Rotary year during a training exercise in Owerri, Imo state, Dr Emah charged Rotary leaders to always see themselves as change agents in the society.

Speaking on the theme for the 2023/2024 Rotary year globally which is “Create hope in the World’, Dr Emah urged Rotarians to see how to help address some of the challenges facing the world in addition to creating hope for the hopeless.

 

The District Governor elect of Rotary International district 9142, who maintained that Leadership always comes with challenges and responsibilities, charged those in Leadership authority to make impact with their positions.

In a remark the Governor nominee for the 2024/2025 Rotary year, Professor Austin Nnonyelu, charged Rotary leaders and Rotarians to always make the impact of Rotary felt in their various areas of jurisdiction.

 

The Governor of Rotary International district 9142, Dr Grace Okaro, said that the Owerri training was conceived to sharpen the minds of incoming Assistant Governors and Presidents elect in distinct 9142 on their expected responsibilities.

Rotarian Abuchi Nwozor of the Anambra Broadcasting Service who is Assistant Governor of Rotary in charge of Zone 38, also attended the training.
