Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo has explained that a significant essence of Easter celebration would remain unfulfilled if humanity does not learn from Christ’s virtues of love, forgiveness and tolerance.

Mrs Soludo who stated this in a message released in Awka to commemorate this year’s Easter feast, noted that the christian event should remind every celebrant that Jesus Christ did not just die for the sins of mankind but out of deep and unconditional love for God’s prime creation.

She explained that in marking the important event, humanity must work to represent the image and character of Christ, who showed forgiveness to his persecutors, and returned every spite with love.

Stressing that love remains a potent ingredient for a prosperous society, Mrs Soludo said Easter, given its religious significance, calls for healing amidst growing global and national uncertainties and socio-religious difficulties.

The governor’s wife who described Easter as a time to reasses one’s relationship with God and humanity, said even though the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ have redeemed mankind, humanity must justify the ultimate sacrifice by living a life that pleases God.

Mrs Soludo while wishing Ndi Anambra a hitch-free Easter celebration, appealed to them to continue to pray for a peaceful and progressive state, reassuring that her husband’s administration is working tirelessly to achieve fulfill its pact with Anambra people.
