The remains of the Late Mr. Cyprian Obelle of Uruejimofor village, Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area have been laid to rest amidst encomiums from family members, relatives, friends and sympathizers.
Aged seventy-three, the late Mr Obelle, according to his biography, was until his demise a lover of education, disciplinarian and successful business man based in Aba, Abia State and as a devoted Catholic at home and abroad, worked for God and humanity.
At a funeral mass at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church Nawfia, the officiating Minister Reverend Father Donatus Okeke, from Seat of Wisdom Major Seminary, Umuahia, who reminded Christians and all mourning the dead that death is a necessary end for all mortals when only God approves, also restated that the central message of Christian faith is that those who died in Christ will rise with him, a solace for the bereaved.
Recounting virtues of their late father after interment, a son and daughter of the deceased, Mr. Chinonso Obelle and Mrs Obianuju Ifezue, said the deceased was a man of peace, who loved and cared for others.
His son-in-law Mr. Chukwuemeka Ifezue said the Late Mr. Obelle was a man of the people who died like a Saint.
They prayed for peaceful repose of his soul, and promised to continue to live out his virtues.
