The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor has charged Nigerians to see the 2023 National population and Housing census which will commence on the third of next Month as critical for the development of the Nigerian Nation.
Speaking to Newsmen at the Cathedral Church of Saint John Ekwulobia, in Aguata Local Government Area, Bishop Ezeofor urged Christians to take active part in the exercise reminding them of the need to always contribute to nation building.
Right Reverend Ezeofor who is also the National chairman of Evangelical fellowship in the Anglican Church EFAC Nigeria called on the Federal government to create an enabling environment that will ensure the realization of accurate and acceptable census figures in order to restore people’s confidence in governance.
Describing accurate census figures as catalyst for development, Bishop Ezeofor advised the people to give those that will work as ad-hoc staff in the exercise the needed access to their various homes in order to achieve the needed result.
He called for more enlightenment and sensitization for the exercise to ensure that the people are well informed about the benefits of the forthcoming National population and Housing census.
Right Reverend Ezeofor urged the federal government to map out far reaching measures that will create a bright future for the citizenry especially the Youths through skills acquisition programme.
He called for equitable distribution of amenities among the six geopolitical zones of the country for enhanced development.
