A fulfilled life is service to God and humanity, such was the life and times of Late Deaconess Comfort Okaroh of Uru-orji village, Ogidi, Idemili North council area.
The deceased aged eighty years was an exemplary Christian who left remarkable legacies on the sands of time.
People from far and near including members of Grace of God mission International, friends, in-laws and well-wishers converged at Ogidi Girls’ Secondary School venue of the burial ceremony to pay their last respect to an amazon and woman of faith.
In a burial service held in her honour, the Regional Overseer, Nkpor division of the church, Bishop Chris Anoke reminded Christians to take necessary steps that will usher them into eternity, acknowledging death as an end of earthly race with judgement, encouraging christians to be conscious of indicators and signals of end time.
Eulogizing their mother’s attributes, the first son, Mr. Chukwuemeka Okaroh and the first daughter Pastor Jane Ogugua described her as an unwavering Godly woman of faith whose excellent records were so impactful.
Attesting to her sterling qualities, the last daughter, Mrs. Ifeoma Ozoemena was full of gratitude to God for the remarkable legacies she left behind.
Others who commended her personality were her second son, Pastor Okey Okaroh and some of her in-laws, including Reverend Ogugua and Mr. Amaechi Ozoemena.
In his condolence message, the South East vice chairman of RATTAWU, Prince Emeka Kalu who led some members of the union, identified with the family, noting that the deceased was a mother to all who came in contact with her.
In-laws, groups, members of Ogidi Christian community and Dominion City brethren in their numbers took turn to pay their last respect to the deceased while special number by adult choristers of the church and live band entertained sympathizers.
