The Transition Committee chairman, Orumba South Local Government Area, Prince Neville Uchendu, has said that Orumba South Council Workers have done the state government proud in many ways especially by winning several awards in local government staff competitions in Nigeria as well as other human resource personnel training programmes.
In his goodwill message to workers of the council area as they joined their colleagues in celebrating this year’s Workers Day, Prince Uchendu described them as outstanding in view of their dedication, commitment and genuine attitude to work, which he said, have distinguished them among their counterparts.
He maintained that the co-operation and robust working relationship existing between the council workers and transition committee team are quite commendable and have continued to yield positive results.
The Orumba South Council Boss expressed satisfaction with the kind of love and support council workers have accorded him, attributing it to the massive achievements they recorded in less than one year in office.
Prince Uchendu while urging them to remain peaceful and united in carrying out their duties, promised to continue with his usual open-door policy for the growth and development of the council area.
While commending Governor Chukwuma Soludo for repositioning the state civil service and the workforce in terms of employment, salary increase, training and prompt payment of salaries among others, enjoined affluent citizens of Orumba South Council Area to encourage council workers by instituting staff merit awards for improved productivity.
