The ABU Mmaduabuchukwu Foundation has marked its sixth-year anniversary with empowerment, scholarship and presentation of educational materials to many beneficiaries.

 

Correspondent Kenechukwu Chukwudi reports that items that were given out to some beneficiaries during the anniversary celebration include, sewing machines, hair dryers, laptops and bags of rice among others.

 

Chief Christopher Attah, a family member of the founder of ABU Maduabuchukwu Foundation explained that the Founder, Chief Mmaduabuchukwu Attah in view of the challenges he passed through while growing up made up his mind to always support the less privileged.

He disclosed that the foundation’s founder achieved success through hard work.

 

In a remark, during the event, the Chairperson of Police Officers Wives Association, POWA, Anambra State, Mrs. Ikemi Echeng represented by Mrs. Patience Odumu revealed that the foundation has always supported the group with empowerment and scholarship and appreciated his kind gesture while urging him to remain focused.

Responding, Chief Mmaduabuchukwu explained that it gives him joy sharing his wealth with the less privileged.

 

Some of the beneficiaries including, Mrs. Chizitere Nnatuanya and Mrs. Cicilia Nwude thanked the foundation for the gesture, praying for more upliftment for both the foundation and the founder.

The event which had in attendance prominent indigenes of Awka community climaxed with the presentation of items to beneficiaries, award of scholarship and dance by the founder of the foundation who also marked his birthday during the ceremony.
