Positive reactions have continued to trail the ongoing move by the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to make Awka a livable and prosperous capital city.
According to some of the respondents who are major stakeholders and Community leaders in Awka, the ongoing Infrastructural development in Awka Community is a clear indication that Governor Chukwuma Soludo is poised to transform the area into a mordern capital city.
One of the stakeholders and a community leader Chief Anayo Nweke of Umuonaga village was of the view that the ongoing massive road construction in Awka by the government of Professor Chukwuma Soludo will open the area more in addition to connecting various areas for enhanced Human and vehicular movements.
Chief Nweke who described Awka as a cosmopolitan city, charged the people especially the Youths to avoid acts capable of retarding the wind of development in the community.
He stressed the need for the people of Awka to continue to be law abiding and remain supportive of government programmes and policies for even development of the area.
Chief Nweke commended the traditional ruler of Awka Community, Obi Gibson Nwosu for the fatherly and peaceful way he has been piloting the affairs of Awka Community and called for its sustainability.
Contributing, Chief Nweze Okoli from Amikwo village who spoke on the need for the people to always respect those in authority, commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his respect for the traditional institution and re-assured him of the support of Awka Community at all times.
Chief Okoli described Professor Chukwuma Soludo as a Governor who has the interest of Awka Community at heart and called on the people to support his green, livable and sustainable initiative by being environment-friendly.
