The Chairman, Anambra State Local Government Service Commission, Barrister Vincent Ezeaka, says the Commission is committed to reforming the Local Government system in line with the vision of the present administration to ensure optimal productivity.

 

Barrister Ezeaka stated this in Awka when he presented certificates of participation to the first Batch of five hundred Local Government workers who completed the Two-Week intensive Digital Literacy Training programme organized by the Commission at Integral Development Konsult Centre in Awka.

 

Barrister Ezeaka who decried the poor attitude to work, low productivity and analogue system of data processing in the Unified Local Government System during his work-visit to the twenty-one Local Government Areas of the State, promised to end truancy and non-existing workers syndrome through the introduction of Staff Biometric Data Collation and physical capturing for personnel attendance.

 

Barrister Ezeaka had since assumption of office promised to improve productivity in the Local Government Area, by training and retraining staff to be digital compliant so as to access Internet and upgrade all their activities to be accessible and also to be in line with One Youth Two Skills solution which is geared towards expanding the Digital Economy of the state and putting Anambra on the digital compliant map in the country.

 

Barrister Ezeaka has also signed the release of over one thousand and forty-two staff promotions to boost the morale of Local Government staff and promised improved welfare of the Local Government workers.
