Christians have been advised not to look on the magnitude of their problems but to look unto Jesus Christ who is able to meet their needs.
A guest preacher, Reverend Ikemefuna Ojeanalonye gave the advice while delivering a sermon during a church service held at Ascension Anglican Church Isiafor, Idemili North Local Government Area.
Reverend Ojeanalonye who spoke on Arise, Shine stated that it is a divine instruction from God to every child of God, noting that every blessing of God anchors on either question, promise, instruction or command and charged them to distinguish themselves among others, refuse negative identity and be pace setter among their equals to achieve God’s purpose for their life.
He listed some factors militating against arise and shine of a child of God to include satanic coverage, family wickedness citing Joseph, sin among others and said that a way out of these factors is for people to give their life to Christ and be born again as well as to engage themselves in aggressive prayers.
The Archdeacon of Ascension Archdeaconry and Vicar of the church, Venerable Angus Umeh, thanked God for his love and blessings upon his people, urging the congregation to be steadfast in their service to God and be good ambassadors of Christ wherever they find themselves.
Venerable Umeh stressed the need for Christians to renew their covenant and maintain good relationship with God.
The service reports that prayers, praise, worship, covenant renewal and thanksgiving formed the highlights of the Sunday service.
