Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike has re-assured Ndi Anambra of quality and affordable healthcare services under Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
The Commissioner gave the assurance at Ojoto in Idemili South Local Government Area when he declared open the 2023 Idemili South Local Government Area Ward-Based Medical Outreach.
Dr Obidike said that the government is committed to the healthy living of Ndi Anambra and commended the Local Government Area Chairman for the initiative.
He advised the people of Idemili South to always make use of the Anambra State Emergency Medical Services number 112 in time of emergency for immediate response.
On her part, the Host and the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Mrs Amaka Obi noted that the grassroot based health outreach is aimed at consolidating the agenda of Governor Soludo on health.
She reminded the people the importance of Health Insurance and advised them to key into the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme.
Mrs Obi also harped on the need for the people to always check their health status and to ensure they visit hospital when necessary.
She restated her commitment to making Idemili South Local Government Area livable, Eco friendly and prosperous.
She used the opportunity to call on the people of the Local Government Area to always keep their environment clean as it contributes to having a healthy lifestyle.
Over five hundred beneficiaries drawn from across the twelve electoral wards in the Local Government Area also received health talk and health guidance.
