Officials of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, led by its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ossy Onuko, has recovered a massive land proposed for the building of an Ultra-Modern Awka Capital Territory Mechanic Village at Amawbia, Awka South Local Government Area, from land grabbers.
Speaking during the exercise, Mr. Onuko, noted that what the agency has done is in firm resolve of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration to rid Anambra State of land grabbers and speculators.
While maintaining that the exercise also aimed to sanitize the capital city of impunity, Mr. Onuko reiterated the readiness of ACTDA to recover all the lands and buildings that belonged to the state government which hitherto are occupied or grabbed by private individuals through sharp practices warning land grabbers to stay away from the capital territory or face the consequences of their actions.
He opined that under the tenure of Governor Soludo, all forms of rascality must end, and promised that the agency will continue to chase land grabbers and speculators from the capital territory.
Mr. Onuko further advised genuine land developers and builders within the capital territory to always visit the headquarters of the agency in Awka to get all necessary documents and approvals to avoid running fowl of the law, as the agency will continue to enforce all necessary laws against defaulters.
