The Chaplin, Divine Mercy Chaplaincy, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, Reverend Father Justin Ezechukwu says that Holyspirit is the basis of christianity
Reverend Father Ezechukwu who stated this in a homily while celerating Pentecost Sunday of the church,said it marks the birth of the church and empowers the church with mandate to operate.
He noted that Holyspirit directs , gives wisdom, and empowers Christians to go into the world to evangelize, urging the parishioners to use God’s given gift to serve Him and the society.
At the Presbyterian Church Of God , Grace Land Parish, Amawbia, children were celebrated as the world marks international children’s day and took the center stage of the service, including conducting the service, reading of lesson and other services.
The Mnister of the church,Very Reverend Nwabueze Nwanchor, while addressing the congregation says that children are l special gifts from God which when groomed properly with sound morals will be beneficial to parents, church and society.
In a sermon to mark the children day, Little Miss Grace Okeke encouraged parents to train their children and wards to have good characters,be contented with whatever they are given and monitor the friends they keep to prevent negative influences.
Prayers were Offered for peaceful transition and inauguration of new administration in the country.
