In addition to the responsibility of training talented youths in various skills to ensure that they are industrious, the Queen Anambra Brand has enlarged its social responsibility functions to celebrating children on their day.
This they did by organising 2023 children’s day celebration for children in Awka and environs.
Held in Awka, the event attracted children from three months old to fifteen years as well as their parents.
The event featured dancing competition and quiz where the winners went home with scholarship and various gift items.
All the children that were present also went home with lots of gifts from the Queen Anambra brand.
Speaking to the ABS at the end of the party, the National Coordinator of the programme Mr David Okoroanyanwu said the brand which started in 2019 is championing promotion of talents, leadership qualities and entrepreneurship, in the youths noting that they have been able to achieve a lot since the inception.
Mr Okoroanyanwu who appreciated Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the support he is giving the brand, also applauded the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare Mrs Ify Obinabo and many other sponsors for their contributions that have led them thus far, noting that including family bonding and unity is also part of their agenda which he said played out during the children’s day celebration.
On her part, the current Queen Anambra, the third in the series, and a Fashion Designer, Miss Chisom Nwagwu said she and her team have been training young girls in various skills like fashion and designing, catering, cosmetology, confectionery among others with the help and support of Anambra state government and many partners, calling for more sponsorship to enable them accommodate more people.
One of those who took part in the celebration, little miss Gift Ifejika, thanked the organisers of the event adding that she had fun with her family and other children.
