The remains of the late Mr Nnaemeka Ofomata have been laid to rest in his country home, Inyaba, Umudim Nnewi, amidst tears and sorrows.
The late Mr Ofomata who was an investor and business executive with many managerial skills died at the age of sixty.
Chimezie Umeh reports that friends and associates of the family joined the family in paying him last respect.
Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion were former Governors of Anambra State: Mr Peter Obi and Dame Virgy Etiaba, government functionaries, business associates, friends and sympathizers.
The funeral service in honour of the deceased was held at Saint Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church, Nnewi, where Venerable Benson Mokah described Mr Ofomata as a man of peace.
Venerable Mokah who reminded the faithful that death is inevitable, encouraged the Ofomata family to take solace in Jesus Christ as He knows the reason for the death of their brother.
Speaking at the burial ceremony, the elder brother of the deceased, Dr Azuka Ofomata, who is a retired Permanent Secretary in Anambra State described his brother as a kind and caring individual praying God to grant him eternal rest.
On his path, Dr Ikechukwu Ofomata described his late brother as an industrious man whose benevolence made him provide solutions to every difficult situation.
The children of the deceased, Mr Raluchukwu and Mukaosolu Ofomata said their father taught them how to be social and kind to people.
