Njikoka Local Government Area Transition Committee Chairman, Honourable Clem Aguiyi, has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo on his Agricultural revolution which he said is capable of lifting thousands of people out of poverty.
Honourable Aguiyi made the statement while addressing Councilors and stakeholders during the flag-off of the distribution of nine thousand Coconuts and twenty-seven thousand Oil Palm Seedlings, across the six communities in the council area.
Honourable Aguiyi, who had earlier set up Ward Steering Committees for the effective distribution of the seedlings, charged them to distribute the seedlings fairly and ensure that those that receive them are the less privileged ones.
While stressing on judicious use of the seedlings by the beneficiaries as future investment for the benefit of their community, Honourable Aguiyi lauded Governor Soludo for his foresight in positioning the state for a future without fossil oil.
He said the ongoing distribution of Coconut and Oil palm seedlings is a socio-economic model with the potential to generate one hundred and sixty billion naira in wealth.
Recall that Anambra State Government had through the ministry of Agriculture, kick-started the distribution of six hundred and seventy thousand Oil Palm and Coconut seedlings to at least one hundred and thirty-four thousand families across the state.
