Tansian University Umunya, Oyi Local Government Area has matriculated over five hundred new students into different programmes offered by the University.

 

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Eugene Nwadialor in his speech during the event pointed out that the institution is poised towards offering quality education to her students in safe and secured environment within stipulated time frame, emphasizing that discipline remains the watch word of the institution.

Professor Nwadialor urged the matriculating students to obey the rules and regulations of the institution, as no act of indiscipline will be tolerated, advising them to aim for the best in their academic pursuit.

 

He called on parents to be part of their children’s education from home by closely monitoring their academic progress.

In his remark, the Dean of Student Affairs of the institution, Professor Josephine Okoli explained that students are closely monitored to make sure they do not go astray but fully focused on their studies while in the school.

 

A former member of Anambra state House of Assembly who is also a lecturer at the university, Dr Carte Umeoduagu emphasized that the school has continued on the path of growth and development without compromising on standards, noting that education is permanent for those who acquired it.

In an interview, some matriculating students: Mr. Oluebube Mouneke and Miss Chioma Ndulue both of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology expressed their happiness and promised to give serious attention to their academic pursuit.

 

Some parents who came to celebrate with their children, Mr. Josiah Nwachukwu and Mr. Ignatius Ozonweke while speaking to the ABS, advised the students to always focus on their studies for excellent performance and as well to make their parents proud as they chose the school because of their antecedents.

The event which started with a Holy Mass, featured swearing of matriculation oath and signing of matriculation register by the students.
