Anambra State Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism Comrade Don Onyenji has encouraged Ndi Igbo to study a cultural book titled “Kolanut in Igbo Metaphysics*, written by Reverend Father Bona Umeogu.
Commissioner Onyenji stated this during the birthday celebration of Reverend Father Bona Umeogu, held at the Communion ground Umunya.
He said the book will help lovers of Igbo culture to understand the meaning of different kolanut notes, such as kola nut of riches, wealthy destiny of fertility, and prosperity among others.
Commissioner Onyenji commended father Umeogu for celebrating his birthday with the destitute, saying that it is an demonstration of love he has for the less privileged people and prayed God to reward him abundantly.
Comrade Onyenji who was the Chairman on the occasion described the celebrant as a man of God filled with the spirit of God and thanked all who came to honor the Reverend Father.
In his speech, Reverend Father Bona Umeogu explained the process of God creating Man in good health, but through sin man started falling sick and reminded them that one can change his misfortune such as sickness, hardship and untimely death through the celebration of one’s birthday.
Reverend Father Umeogu while thanking those who honoured his invitation prayed for their good health and God’s blessings.
