The first stage of screening process for the maiden edition of “Anambra Shine The Light Reality TV Show” has been concluded; with participants appreciating the organizers for the platform to showcase and harness their talents.
Participants who turned out in their number for the screening displayed various talents such as dancing, singing, acting and other entertaining skills.
The Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu emphasized that the reality television show is a platform to showcase and nurture talents that abounds in Anambra State; in line with the state government’s efforts to provide skills for the youths, while also showcasing the rich cultural heritage of various communities.
He called on well-meaning Ndi Anambra to be part of the show in other to support the youths and help the state develop.
On her part, the Director of Programmes of ABS, Mrs. Nneka Ekwunife revealed that those who passed the auditioning stage would still undergo three more elimination stages for the eventual winner to emerge after sixty days of being at the TV show house.
Nollywood veteran actor, Chief Amaechi Mounagor, who expressed satisfaction with the level of talents on display at the auditioning , emphasized that the TV show is a good platform to discover new talents from youths who will fill the gap in the entertainment industry.
Some judges at the event, including a veteran Nollywood actor, Prince Uche Ndigwe, and Miss Sandra Akpa of ABS affirmed that talents abound in the state, and that the “Anambra Shine The Light Reality TV Show” provides a veritable platform to showcase and harness such talents, advising participants who scaled through the auditioning stage to sharpen their talents for the next stage of the event.
A dancer who got a “yes” from the judges, Mr. Ifeanyi Chukwumma, and Miss Chiamaka Akubuike, who also got a “yes” from the judges for singing expressed happiness with the event, expressing optimism that they would emerge winners at the end of the show.
