The Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim says the present government of Professor Chukwuma Soludo is committed to lifting Ndi Anambra out of poverty, improving the economy in addition to ending various land disputes across the State.

 

The Deputy Governor stated this during a meeting with members of Anambra State Boundary Committee at the Government House Awka.

 

Dr Ibezim, who is the Chairman of the Committee, while restating the commitment of the Soludo led administration towards ensuring adequate security of life and property, noted that Anambra is a peaceful state that will continue to maintain its first position in development, peace and unity, and not in crime and criminality.

 

The Deputy Governor further maintained that Life is precious adding that the Soludo government cannot allow any kind of careless loss of life in the State any longer.

 

Dr Ibezim asked members of the Committee to see the task as an opportunity to serve the State and save lives.

 

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Boundary Matters, Mr Ekenechukwu Okoye, said that the committee is ready and committed to serve Ndi Anambra and contribute its quota towards making the State more habitable.

 

Government House Correspondent, Emmanuel Okonkwo reports that the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Professor Sylvia Ifemeje, Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, Commissioner for Lands, Professor Ofonze Amaucheazi, Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mr Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne, Traditional Ruler of Ukwulu Igwe Peter Uyanwa, that of Umumbo, Igwe Ikechukwu Chidube, Executive Secretary State Boundary Committee, Mr Jude Okoli, are among members of the committee.
