An All Progressives Grand Alliance Chieftain and community leader, Chief Chris Okonkwo has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for providing drinkable water in his community and other parts of Anambra West Local Government Area after almost three decades of unavailability of clean water supply in the area.

Chief Okonkwo who expressed delight over the recently commissioned water borehole in Umuoba Aboegbu Anam, in Anambra West said that the borehole will help his people immensely as the villagers will henceforth start drinking clean and potable water.

The APGA Chieftain regretted that the residents of the local government submerged by flood every year are drinking and cooking with all types of water, including flood water which in turn causes them various types of illnesses including diarrhea.

Chief Okonkwo commended the Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Mr Felix Ikechi whose administration attracted the water borehole and urged him to keep working for Ndi Anambra West, and urged people of the community to own and protect the facility.

He also eulogized Governor Soludo on other developmental strides going on in the Council Area, including the on-going Mmiata Anam-Nzam road, upgrading of some Primary Health Care Centres, the approvals for the electrification of some communities in the area, among others.

Chief Okonkwo assured that people of the Local Government will continue to support the Soludo administration for him to excel, even as he called on Ndi Anambra to keep praying for the current administration in the state.
