The traditional ruler of Awka Community Obi Gibson Nwosu has charged business men of Anambra State extraction to heed the Clarion call of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in bringing home their investments for robust development of Anambra State.
Speaking in an interview with Abuchi Nwozor, Obi Nwosu who described the Akuluono call of Governor Chukwuma Soludo as apt maintained that such call is a clear indication of a leader who loves his people.
The traditional ruler of Awka Community expressed regret that Ndigbo are only good in developing other parts of the country leaving theirs and called for a rethink.
Obi Nwosu of Awka Community who is a one-time Deputy Chairman of Anambra State council of traditional rulers, urged Ndi Anambra to see the development of the state as a collective responsibility.
He described the recent town hall meeting between Governor Chukwuma Soludo and NdiAnambra resident in the Federal capital territory Abuja as a welcome development saying that the people of Anambra State will through the town hall meeting ascertain the strides of Governor Soludo in Anambra State, the challenges with a view to knowing where to assist.
Obi Nwosu commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for series of Infrastructural development going on in different parts of the state, especially roads which Awka Community is benefitting immensely.
Contributing, a community leader in Awka Community Chief Jonathan Nzekwe while commending Governor Chukwuma Soludo for being the first Governor that is determined to give Awka a befitting capital status re-assured his administration of the total support and prayers of the people of Awka Community.
Chief Jonathan Nzekwe who hails from Umuonaga village, described the road Infrastructure and flood control which Governor Soludo is embarking on in Awka as a landmark project which has restored the confidence of the people to governance.
Chief Nzekwe extolled the traditional ruler of Awka Community Obi Gibson Nwosu for the able way he has been piloting the affairs of Awka Community and charged the people to rally round him for more development of Awka Community.
He charged the youths to avoid acts capable of portraying Awka the state capital in bad light.
Chief Nzekwe urged affluent people of Awka extraction, to use their wealth in the development of the community and in securing a bright future for the youths.
