Two Police Officers and a Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps working under the office of the Anambra state Deputy Governor have been promoted to higher ranks.
The officers were decorated by the Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim in his office at the Government House Awka.
The two police officers, Mr. Anthony Thomas and Mr. Sunday Adah were respectively promoted from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendents of Police, and the Civil Defence Officer, Dumebi Odogwu was promoted from Assistant Inspector of Corps to Assistant Superintendent of Corps.
Speaking shortly after decorating the officers, Deputy Governor, Dr Ibezim expressed happiness on the elevation of the gallant men who he said are highly dedicated to duty, and prayed that they will keep rising in ranks.
Dr Ibezim encouraged the officers to keep being dedicated to duty and to always show good examples to junior ones.
He used the opportunity to call on the masses to be diligent and hardworking at all times, as he reemphasized that there is dignity in labour.
