Anambra State Government has directed Market leaders to commence sanitation exercises on Mondays and clear up the Market and proceed with other activities in the various markets in Anambra State.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade and Commerce, Chief Evaristus Ubah gave the charge at the Anambra State Amalgamated Traders Association ASMATA office in Onitsha while addressing various market leaders in the State.
The meeting attracted Market leaders across the State.
Chief Ubah stated that the leaders should direct their various markets to commence clean up exercises in their market every Monday promising that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has put all necessary measures in place to beef up security in the markets.
The President General Anambra State Market Amalgamated Traders Association ASMATA, Chief Humphrey Anuna called on market leaders to strictly adhere to the directive.
Chief Anuna used the medium to extol Governor Soludo for his love for the traders and his developmental strides in the State.
Contributing, one of the market leaders, Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu said they received the directive with joy and promised on behalf of other traders to ensure compliance.
