Every, individual has two memorable, dates, a time to born and a time to take a bow.

 

Such was the case of late Pastor Ogo Franca Aniekwe, as her remains was lowered to mother earth at her family compound Okuzu Oba, Idemili South Council Area.

Late Ogo Aniekwe, retired as a Deputy Director in the Anambra Broadcasting Service, and served as a pastor of the Christ Embassy Church Oba.

 

She was also a one time Head of Station, ABS Onitsha where she contributed her quota towards, the upliftment of the station, , a feat, that, earned her the name, Ogo, Aniekwe ABS.

Friends, members of Christ Embassy, and her contemporaries of Old Girls of Umunya Girls Secondary school, defied the early morning rain, as they gathered in numbers to accord her last respect.

 

In his exhortation, at the funeral service held in her honour at their family compound, Pastor Chidiebele Eze, said that death is the supreme sacrifice that awaits all mortals reminding Christians to be eternity conscious.

Describing the deceased as a devoted and dedicated soldier, of Christ whose impact and commitment to kingdom advancement was worthy of note, Pastor Eze encouraged the family to take solace in the Lord and continue in her legacies.

 

In an interview, her daughter, Miss Angel Aniekwe who observed that her late mother was an extra ordinary woman, totally committed in what she believed in , appreciated all who stood by the family.

Some of her colleagues, including the Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Prof Cordelia Ebenebe, and the Head of Station ABS Onitsha Mrs lfeoma Udechukwu, bore eloquent testimonies to her Christian virtues, and acknowledged her as a woman of unwavering faith.

 

Commiserating with the family, the Managing Director of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu , represented by an Administrative Officer, Mr Afam Obidike said that late Ogo was a committed staff, who played her role, in moving the Station forward and highlighted on some of her programmes.

He consoled the family, advising them to bear the loss with fortitude.

 

In his tribute, a former President General of the community, Chief Benneth Chibueze, called on the family to sustain her positive foot prints and continue from where she stopped.

 

Groups well-wishers, and the public took turns to pay their condolences.
