Asphalting work will soon commence on the one point eight-kilometer Awada-Ugwuagba Obosi road, a project awarded by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
The pace of work on the road and reports that the Awada-Ugwuagba Obosi road which is divided into four phases, road one directly at the back of Army Barracks, road two cuts across Oraifite-Ukaegbu Street Awada, road three is Ebenator-Mgbuka Obosi axis while the road four is Saint Peter’s Catholic church, Ugwuagba Obosi.
Having constructed drainages on the roads two and three, the firm handling the project has completed earth work on road one, applied stone based and will soon commence asphalting of the road.
Speaking to the ABS, the Project Supervisor, Engineer Nagi Aridi said they would have completed asphalting the road one but because of the heavy rains.
Mr Aridi explained that as soon as the weather is friendly, they will combine both asphalting on road one and earthwork on road two.
He thanked the Anambra State government for releasing all necessary requirements to ensure continuation of the project and the Awada-Ugwuagba community for their cooperation which he said has aided them so far.
