The Archdeacon, Adazi-Ani Archdeaconry and Vicar, Saint Jude’s Anglican Church, Venerable Chris Nkem-Okafor says prayers and praises are important in today’s society.

 

Venerable Nkem-Okafor who stated this in a sermon during a Sunday service which is the first in the month of September with the theme,’ essence of prayers’ highlighted the importance of prayers as it is the answer to a successful life.

Venerable Nkem-Okafor noted that Christ taught Christians steps to prayer and that they have to hallow the name of God, honour and reference Him because they have significance in life of Christian as biblical Paul and Silas did, adding that through praises there will be healing, freedom from bondage, forgiveness of sins and reconciliation will God.

At Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Amikwo-Awka, the Vice Parish Priest of the Church, Reverend Father Pascal Okekeazi challenged Christians to trust solely in God, be strong and courageous in their worship as they serve Christ because Jesus Christ will add more values to their lives.

 

Reverend Father Okekeazi noted that he who is in Christ should commit himself or herself wholeheartedly, live according to his directives and tenet of God and abide in the Lord at all times.

On his part, the Archdeacon, Adazi-Enu Archdeaconry and Vicar, Immanuel Anglican Church, Adazi-Enu, Venerable Dr, Geoffrey Molokwu called on Christians to recognize the place of God in whatsoever they do, and maintain a righteous life in order to make the world know that those who put their trust in God shall never perish.

 

Venerable Dr Muolokwu, encouraged all to fight the good fight of faith and remember that without God, they can do nothing, and therefore, challenged all believers in Christ to live for Christ, humble and surrender to him to attain eternity .
